Elevated Basics: The Longline Cardi.

/ Editorial

There’s nothing more refreshing than taking a few days off to unwind, coming back with enough motivation and energy to get back into the routine! I’ve just returned from a phenomenal weekend at This New Republic conference hosted by Hope City Church. It’s been a fun weekend hanging out with the coolest people, stuffing my face with absolutely everything and most importantly, being able to worship and fellowship with hundreds of young adults and students. Absolutely fantastic and I’m buzzing for TNR 2018 already.

Talking about 2018, am I the only one who thinks that November is flying already? I mean, 2018 is around the corner and the thought of Christmas prep is already making me nervous. The best thing about the upcoming festive flurry is that I’m no longer a University student which means I can actually enjoy and get into the festive spirit without the stress of completing assignments – sorry, students but the no-uni life is magnificent.

So huns, I am back with part two of Elevated Basics with Tobi. If you missed out on the first post, you can find it here. The whole point of this series is to just share some inspiration around how you canĀ elevateĀ some of the simple and minimal pieces in your wardrobe with accessories etc. I love a good old pointy heel or some statement jewellery, as shown below. A white tee and a pair of blue jeans are undeniably the go-to casual look if you fancy a midweek break or if you’re running errands at the weekend. I’d describe this look as a ‘hump day’ outfit for Wednesdays in the office. Despite the casual dress code in the office, on my laziest days, I still find myself putting on a kitten heel or mule but I guess it comes in handy for transitioning from the office to the cocktail bar after work. But my oh my, let me add that the Zara mules I am sporting in this editorial are by far the comfiest heels I own. The second best thing about them? They look great with ANYTHING.

What I’m Wearing //

Keep Me Warm Black Jersey Knitted Cardigan

Basic T-Shirt

Straight Regular Jeans

Multirow Necklace

Black Western Belt

I’ve never really been fond of longline chunky knit cardigans but when I came across this one from Tobi, what I loved most about it was the interesting cut of the neckline and the side slits. I went for M/L size for an oversized look and extra cosiness, of course. A longline cardigan is also the perfect transitional piece from now until Spring /Summer, perfect for easy, chilled out days.. like hump day, as mentioned above.

Until next time,

Eunice
